Shetland ribbon and tussah silk

This braided fiber ribbon is intended for spinning or felting.

It is made of a mixture of different colors of Shteland fleeces and linen.

The Shetland sheep originates from the Shetland Islands archipelago in northern Scotland. Shetland sheep can have a variety of fleece colors, although solid white, brown, and black are the most common. It produces soft, warm wool.

Tussah silk is a wild silk produced by silkworms feeding on oak leaves. It is distinguished by its rough texture and untreated appearance.

The combination of these two materials gives a ribbon that is full, soft and shiny.
